Things to Know Before You Go – Sat., Oct. 11

Purple-clad teams square off in a match-up of SoCon unbeatens

Cullowhee, N.C. – Purple will dominate the landscape on Saturday afternoon in #CatamountCountry as the Southern Conference's best game day atmosphere revs up again as Western Carolina returns to the friendly confines of E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob  Waters Field for its lone October home date. Catamount Nation again looks to prove that it's the loudest house in the league, as SoCon play continues with the "Battle for Purple Supremacy" as the Furman Paladins come up the mountain.

Cullowhee is the place to be with the hottest ticket in the Southern Conference to date, as a pair of teams riding three-game winning streaks and two-thirds of the final three unbeaten teams in conference play clash. Saturday's game has been dubbed "Heroes Day," while the University also celebrates "EBCI Day," honoring the longstanding relationship with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (see additional details below in Game Day Promotions).

Kickoff between the Catamounts and Paladins is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ (paid subscription required), with live audio from the Catamount Sports Network beginning at 1:30 p.m. with the Pepsi Tailgate Show. Live stats are also available online through a link at CatamountSports.com.
