Cullowhee, N.C. – Single-game tickets and gameday parking for Western Carolina football's 2025 home-opening matchup under the lights at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field against regional rival Gardner-Webb on Labor Day Weekend are on sale now (Wednesday, July 16) through the Catamount Athletics Ticket Office and online at CatamountSports.com.
Ticket and game day parking sales for the Saturday, Aug. 30, season-opener are available in person at the first-floor Athletics Ticket Office in the Ramsey Center (Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), by phone at (828) 227-2401, or online by visiting
CatamountSports.com/BuyTickets. Advanced parking is $15 and $20 on game day, with options available at the H.F. Robinson Administration lot, Camp Festival, the Field House lot that includes ADA parking, the North Baseball Parking Deck, and the South Baseball Lot.
Western Carolina opens the year by hosting instate foe Gardner-Webb with the evening kickoff at 6 p.m. It's the first meeting between the Catamounts and Runnin' Bulldogs in Cullowhee since 2019, and WCU's first scheduled home night game since 2021, despite concluding the 2023 meeting with Samford under the lights after enduring weather delays.
The first football game is part of the First Bank First Weekend celebration that includes Sunday's home women's soccer match against SEC foe Tennessee. Following Saturday's game at Whitmire Stadium, fireworks will again light up the western North Carolina sky with a postgame extravaganza, presented by Ingles, and media partners iHeartMedia and 99.9 FM Kiss Country, and Star 104.3.
Individual game ticket sales and gameday parking for WCU's remaining five home dates go on sale to the public next Monday, July 28.
The Catamounts host instate foe Elon on Saturday, Sept. 13, with its Southern Conference opener on Saturday, Sept. 20, against Samford on Family Weekend. Chromatic rival Furman comes to Cullowhee on Heroes and EBCI Day on Oct. 11. WCU's two November dates include Homecoming against defending SoCon champion Mercer on Nov. 8, and the mountain rivalry "Blue Ridge Border Battle" against ETSU on Saturday, Nov. 15.
With large crowds anticipated for each home date in Cullowhee this fall, purchasing season tickets remains the best option to secure seats for WCU's six home dates, which are also still available through the Catamount Athletics Ticket Office. Options include general admission, reserved bleacher bench, and a few remaining chairback seats, with a Family Zone four-pack in Section FF also available.
A $10 transaction fee will be charged for all ticket orders, including credit card, cash, and check.
Preseason excitement revs up in a week as the Southern Conference convenes at the Hotel Hartness in Greenville, S.C., on Tuesday, July 22, for the 2025 SoCon Football Media Day. The preseason All-SoCon teams and predicted order of finish, as voted on by the league's head coaches, will be unveiled as the coaches and two players from each league team meet with members of the media, marking the unofficial start of the 2025 campaign. Catamount fifth-year head coach
Kerwin Bell is slated to be joined by all-conference candidates in defensive linemen
Caleb Fisher and
Micah Nelson next week for the annual preseason event.
Western Carolina's football student-athletes officially report to campus for the 2025 fall camp on Tuesday, July 29, with the first of two helmet-only practices scheduled for Wednesday, July 30.
