Cullowhee, N.C. -- The Western Carolina women's basketball team is back in action for one more tune-up as the Catamounts host the South Carolina Central Christian College Gladiators. Tip against the New South Athletic Conference foe is set for 2 p.m. at the on-campus Ramsey Center.
Saturday's game will go down as an exhibition for both teams, with results not counting towards either WCU's 3-11 record or the Gladiators' 0-7 mark.

The Catamounts enter the game after posting a 3-11 record in the non-conference schedule, most recently snapping an 11-game skid with a 91-44 win over the Montreat Cavaliers. WCU will look to pick up its first NCAA DI win of the season in conference play, with two of those 11 losses coming in single digits.
Ally Hollifield ranks seventh in the Southern Conference in points per game with 12.3 per outing and ninth in rebounding with a 5.0 per game mark. Additionally, Hollifield ranks second in the conference with 29 steals and fourth in total assists with 56.
Taj Hunter's 11.2 ppg average sits 15th in the conference in scoring, while
Ary Dizon sits second in the conference with 1.8 blocks per game.
WCU opens Southern Conference play on Jan. 8 as they host the clubhouse-leading Mercer Bears (9-5) for a 6:00 p.m. tilt. The Catamounts close out the longest home stretch of the season on Jan. 10, hosting the Samford Bulldogs for a 2:00 p.m. start.
