Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina Athletics today announced the postponement of Saturday's scheduled Southern Conference men's basketball game against the Samford Bulldogs. The game has been
moved to Sunday, Feb. 1, with a Noon start on Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m., but due to the fluidity of the winter storm forecast, the decision was made Friday morning to move the game to Sunday. WCU is still planning the scheduled men's basketball alumni day and celebration of the 1996 Southern Conference Championship team for those who can make it, complete with the 1996 replica jersey gate giveaway.
Sunday's game is scheduled to be shown on
ESPN+ (a paid
subscription is required). Live streaming audio from the
Catamount Sports Network and
live stats will both be available online on CatamountSports.com.
Catamount Athletics advises all fans to continue to check the weather forecast, as well as CatamountSports.com and the athletics social media for any additional updates. WCU also urges fans to use their best judgment on travel during the winter storm (DriveNC.gov).
