Prior to Western Carolina: Joined the Western Carolina football team as a preferred walk-on ... Named All-Smoky Mountain 1-A Conference selection ... Threw for 93 yards, ran for 34 yards and a TD and made a team-high 12 tackles in the NCHSAA 1-A championship game earning game MVP honors ... Passed for 1,093 yards and eight touchdowns with 1,694 rushing yards and 22 TDs on the ground ... Led RHS with 181 tackles including 133 solo stops with 18 TFLs, five fumble recoveries, and two interceptions ... Was selected to the East-West All-Star football game ... Also played basketball at Robbinsville High.
