2019 (Redshirt Senior): Played in 11 of WCU’s 12 games on the year as a reserve on offense and on special teams … Caught nine passes for 64 yards … Averaged 7.1 yards per reception … Tallied his first career reception on a 13-yard grab in the season-opener against Mercer (Aug. 31) … Caught a career-best three passes twice – three for 19 yards against North Greenville (Sept. 14) and three for a career-high 25 receiving yards against Furman (Oct. 26).

2018 (Redshirt Junior): Returned to the squad during the summer after sitting out the 2018-19 academic year.

2017 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in seven of the team’s 12 games on the season ... Made his collegiate debut in the season-opener at Hawai’i (Sept. 2) ... Made his first collegiate touch in the road win at Gardner-Webb (Sept. 16) charted as a rush attempt. 

2016 (Redshirt Freshman): Did not see game action ... Hauled in four passes for 96 yards including a scrimmage-best 47-yard catch-and-run to set-up a score in WCU's annual Spring Game.

2015 (Freshman): Participated as a part of the team but did not see game action, taking a redshirt.

Prior to Western Carolina: Accepted a preferred walk-on position on the WCU football team ... Selected to the All-State and US All-American Bowl as a senior ... Gained 1,445 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns as a wide receiver and punt returner ... His high school coach was Jerry Cash.

Personal: Is the son of Pam and Carey Mitchell ... His cousin is former WCU track standout and Olympic silver medalist, Manteo Mitchell.
