Biography

2022 (Senior): Suffered a broken bone in his hand during the preseason that delayed his start to the season … Played in 34 games including 18 starts, 10 coming as the designated hitter, seven at first base, and once at second base … Made his season debut as a defensive substitution at Wake Forest (March 15) … Batted .216 on the season, finishing 19-for-88 with nine extra-base hits – four doubles, a triple, and four home runs … Drew seven walks … Posted five multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI efforts … Had a modest three-game hitting streak and reached base safely in a six-game streak on the year … Doubled twice against UNCG (May 21) in a two-hit performance … Named a preseason second-team All-Southern Conference selection by the league's head coaches ... Named to the Spring 2022 Academic All-Southern Conference team ... Named to the 2021-22 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

2021 (Junior*): Played in 45 of the team’s 49 games with 45 starts including 39 games at second base and six starts as the designated hitter … Finished the season with a .304 batting average, collecting 51 hits including eight doubles, two triples, and three home runs … Added 33 walks and three HBPs as a part of his .418 on-base percentage … Recorded nine stolen bases in 10 attempts … Recorded 62 putouts and 94 fielding assists at second base … Was a part of turning 24 double-plays in the field … Recorded 16 multiple hit games and nine multiple RBI efforts … Collected a career-high five RBI in the season-opening win over Towson (Feb. 19) … Matched a career-best with three hits three times including a 3-for-4, four RBI effort at UNCW (Feb. 28), a 3-for-3 showing in game one against VMI (April 11) and a 3-for-5, two double performance against the Keydets in game two of the doubleheader ... Selected 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 ... Named to the 2021 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and was named Academic All-Southern Conference ... Received a SoCon Commissioner's Medal; Summer 2021: Played in 33 games for the Wilmar (Minn.) Stingers of the Northwoods League ... Batted .256 (30-for-117) with a pair of doubles ... Both scored and drove in 14 runs on the summer ... Drew 18 walks and was hit by a pitch six times to bolster his on-base percentage (.378).

2020 (Junior): Started all 16 games as a transfer middle infielder including 15 starts at shortstop and one at second base … Led the team among the regular starters with a .386 batting average, collecting a team-best 22 hits including three doubles … Had eight, multi-hit games and twice collected two RBI … Was second on the team with nine RBI … Ranked second on the team with 10 walks and two HBPs to boast a .493 on-base percentage … Tallied two hits in a 2-for-3, two walk and two RBI performance in his debut against Chicago State (Feb. 14) … Collected a career-high three hits twice on the year including a 3-for-5 showing with a double against Georgia State (Feb. 26) and a 3-for-4 performance in the neutral field win over Big XII foe, Kansas (March 1) ... Named to the 2019-20 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll Season shortened because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of spring sports in mid-March.
 
Prior to Western Carolina: Transferred to WCU from Sacramento City College … In 2019, played in 44 games in helping Sac City return to the final four in the California State Championship … Posted a .301 batting average (52-for-173) with 13 doubles, a triple and a home run as a sophomore … Ranked 21st in the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) with 45 RBI, scoring 36 total runs … Named CCCBCA NorCal Player of the Week in early May 2019 … Was a part of the Sacramento City College squad that finished as a runner-up in the 2018 California State Championship … Batted .259 (29-for-112) as a freshman with five doubles and 17 RBI ... Recorded six career stolen bases.
