Biography

2024 (Senior): Played in 49 games with 38 starts including 24 at first base, 12 as the designated hitter, and twice in right field … Finished the year batting .265 (40-for-151) with 25 extra-base hits including 12 doubles and 13 home runs … Drew 17 walks and was plunked nine times … Batted .436 as a lead-off batter and posted 10 two-out base hits with nine two-out RBI … Had a five-game hitting streak in mid-March … Entering as a late sub at UNC Asheville (March 19), homered twice in two at bats against the rival Bulldogs … Collected a season-best three hits twice, doubling three times in the neutral field meeting with Akron (April 6) at Prasco Park and homering twice in a three-hit effort at VMI (May 17), scoring a career-high four runs … Was a preseason second-team All-Southern Conference selection by the league’s head coaches ... Named to the Spring 2024 Academic All-Southern Conference team ... Named to the 2023-24 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

2023 (Junior): Played in 47 games with 41 starts including 25 in the outfield – 23 in right and once in both left and center – 14 at first base, and two as the designated hitter … Batted .275 (46-of-167) with 23 extra-base hits including nine doubles, two triples, and 12 home runs … Had a six-game hitting streak during the season and an 11-game reached base safely streak … Drove in 34 runs including 14 two-out RBI, batting .315 (17-for-54) with two outs … Plated a career-best five RBI including a grand slam home run against Eastern Kentucky (March 4) … Homered twice in two games, hitting two against EKU (March 5) and at Mercer (April 2) … Recorded a career-best four hits with four RBI at UNCG (March 26) … Doubled three times in a 3-for-6 effort against VMI (April 6).

2022 (Sophomore): Played in 38 games on the season with 13 starts, 10 coming as the designated hitter and three at first base … Batted .226 with 14 hits in 62 at-bats, collecting four doubles and three home runs … Scored eight runs while driving in 11 … Had two multiple-hit and two multi-RBI games … Made his WCU debut in a start at first base on opening-weekend against Niagara (Feb. 18), reaching base on a walk for his first time aboard for WCU and collecting his first hit as a Catamount on a two-run home run to right-center field – both coming in the sixth inning of a 16-run frame against the Purple Eagles … Belted a solo home run and a two-run single as a part of a three-RBI effort against Illinois State (Feb. 26) … Hit his third home run on a solo shot at Fluor Field against Cincinnati (March 13) ... Named to the 2021-22 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Prior to Western Carolina: Began his collegiate career at Catawba Valley CC, transferring before the fall 2021 semester; At CVCC: Selected to the third-team All-American Division II and All-Region team as a first baseman by the NJCAA ... Batted .441 with 64 RBI, collecting a 28-game reach base safely streak - reaching in 48 of the 51 seasonal games - and posted a 26-game hitting streak, the second-longest in program history ... Led Region 10 in doubles (26), breaking the school record ... Finished third in the conference with 10 home runs ... In the shortened COVID season, appeared in seven games at CVCC, batting .250 (4-for-16) with two doubles and a home run for a .563 slugging percentage ... Both scored and drove in five runs as a freshman ... Played both baseball and football at Smoky Mountain HS as a prep ... Was a three-time all-conference selection from 2017-19 ... Three-year letterman in football, starting at quarterback as a senior; Summer 2021: Played for the Mooresville (N.C.) Spinners in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League ...
