Tallied 47 strikeouts against 31 walks with a 6.91 ERA; High School: Posted a .299 career batting average while also posting a 12-9 record with a 3.25 ERA as a pitcher ... Also played basketball at Tuscola where he scored a school-record 1,942 points in 104 games with 1,108 rebounds -- averaging 18.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game ... He also served as the President of the National Honor Society and received the C.E. Weatherby Award for academic and athletic excellence.
