Prior to Western Carolina: Played wide receiver and cornerback as a prep, as well as a kick returner spending two seasons at Clearwater Academy which has only played 11-man football three seasons … As a senior, recorded 37 solo tackles with four interceptions, returning one for a touchdown … Was selected to the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl as a defensive back … Received the Randy Louis Pathfinder Award and the Juneteenth Leadership Award ... High school coach was Jesse Chinchar.
