2020-21 (Freshman): Played in eight of the team’s nine games on the season, each coming as a reserve on offense and on special teams … Finished with nine catches for 32 receiving yards with one rush … Made his collegiate debut in the season-opener at Liberty (Nov. 14), catching two passes for seven yards … Caught one pass for a career-long 13-yard reception at Furman (Feb. 20) … Matched a career-best with two catches at Samford (Feb. 27), The Citadel (March 13), and at Mercer (March 20) ... Named to the 2020-21 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll ... Received a SoCon Commissioner's Medal.
Prior to Western Carolina: Played slot back and wide receiver as a prep where he helped Cox Mill win the South Piedmont 3A Conference title and the Coddle Creek Cup … Dubbed a "possession receiver" because of his sure hands and precise routes … Named All-South Piedmont Conference as a senior.
Personal: Is the son of Diana and David Sutton ... Has a sister, Brooke, who joined the WCU women's golf team in the fall 2022 semester.
