Matt Erps completed his third season as Western Carolina basketball’s video coordinator during the 2020-21 season. His main responsibilities include breakdown of film for scouting, film review for practices and games, coordinating film exchange with opponents, and assisting in scouting preparation.

Erps joined the Catamount staff before the 2018-19 season and has served in his current role in each of head coach Mark Prosser’s three seasons in Cullowhee.

Prior to WCU, Erps joined the Winthrop men's basketball team as a walk-on during the 2017-18 season after spending the previous three seasons as a student manager. He saw action in 15 games, playing a season-high six minutes against Mars Hill on Nov. 21.

Erps earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2018, earning Dean's List and President's List accolades.
During his prep career at Spartanburg HS in Spartanburg, S.C., Erps played basketball and competed in track in field.
