Appeared in four meets, competing in the 4x400m, the 800m, and the 1500m
Set PRs in the 800m and the 1500m with times of 2:25.31 and 5:09.10 respectively during the Duke Invitational
2023-24 Indoor:
Appeared in three meets, competing in the 800m, the 1000m, the mile, and the 3000m
Set a PR in the 3000m with a time of 11:25.70 during the Clemson Invitational
Set a PR in the mile with a time of 5:34.23 during the Brant Tolsma Invitational
Set a PR in the 1000m during the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational with a time of 3:09.22
2023 Cross Country: Appeared in all four meets during the fall season… earned a 13th place finish of 16:20.4 in the Young Harris Invitational 4k which WCU won as a team to begin the season… finished the Live in the Lou Classic with a 21:01.3…
PR's: 800m – 2:23.67, 1k – 3:10.84, 1600m – 5:35.68, 5k xc – 19:20.34
Coach Notes: "Amaya was an early target for this distance class. She is someone who we believe will experience some great growth within our program in the coming years and will be counted on to develop into a solid Southern Conference performer in the future. She brings team championship experience as her high school won numerous team state championships during her career."
