2026 (Freshman):Â All-Freshman Team Honoree... Saw action in 19 games with 12 starts which included 10 starts as the Catamounts designated player and a pair of starts in the circle... batted .259 with eight runs scored, eight hits and 11 RBIs... tallied three doubles and a grand slam with the slam coming against Gardner-Webb (April 14)... also drew two walks, reached base three times on a hit-by-pitch... in her first career start at the plate, Burce tallied a 3-for-3 day at the dish with a grand slam and a program-tying seven RBIs as part of a school-record 21-0 victory against the Runnin' Bulldogs... tallied a double against Gardner-Webb, N.C. Central (April 21) and Mercer (April 25)... had a pair of multi-hit games against Gardner-Webb and Mercer... one of six Catamounts to connect on a grand slam for WCU... part of an offense that broke single-season team records in batting average (.313), slugging percentage (.505), on-base percentage (.385), hits (504), doubles (73), runs (368), runs batted in (337), total bases (812), steals (79), and sacrifice flies (24)... also made four apperances in the circle coming against Akron, Southern Illinois, Robert Morris and USC Upstate...Â
HIGH SCHOOL: Burce comes to Cullowhee following a four-year prep career at East Hall High. She carried a .384 career batting average, to accompany a 2.61 ERA in the circle in her high school career. Burce posted a .500 batting average as a junior and hit .415 in her senior campaign. During her senior year, Burce tallied first-team All-region honors along with second-team All-state recognition. Burce also garnered offense and pitching awards along with her team's MVP award.
As a junior, Burce received the NFCA Scholar Athlete Award along with first-team All-region plaudits. Off the diamond, she was a two-sport athlete competing in track and field, where she earned Freshman of the Year honors, and was a four-year varsity letterwinner for East Hall's basketball program.
