Megan Brown joined the Catamount women’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations before moving into the role of Assistant Coach in the fall of 2019 prior to the start of the 2019-20 season. She completed her second season at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.
Brown played basketball at University Southern Mississippi where Head Coach Kiley Hill was the Associate Head Coach. She just completed her eligibility as a fifth-year senior working on her postgraduate degree in kinesiology after earning her bachelor’s degree in communications in 2017.
She played four years for the Lady Eagles at Southern Miss, ending her career with the third-longest consecutive starts streak for the team at 96 games in a row. She eclipsed 1,000 career points on a senior day making her the 27th member of the Southern Miss women’s basketball 1,000-point club, finishing her career ranked 24th in the 1,000-point club with 1,030 points.
A decorated student-athlete in the classroom, Brown was a four-time recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner’s Medal (2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19), named to the Conference USA Honor Roll four times (2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19) and named to the Dean’s List three times (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19).
