Prior to Western Carolina:

Dobreva competed for the Colorado State Rams her freshman season (2024-25), posting a 10-10 singles record and a 5-11 mark in doubles play. Dobreva primarily competed on the fifth court for CSU, recording her first collegiate win in straight sets against Montana.

She ranked as high as No. 8 in Canada as a junior, reaching No. 3 in Quebec … Owns a couple of ITF tournament wins … Reached 509 in world junior rankings.

Originally born in Bulgaria, her parents are Kostadin and Hristina, and she has a brother, Nasko.
