Andrue Smith joined the Catamount Athletics staff in a full-time role as the Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager in the summer of 2024.
 
Smith, a Western Carolina University graduate, was a student assistant in WCU’s equipment room for four years while an undergraduate. He assumed a much larger role over his final two years, leading WCU’s athletic equipment student assistants as the head student manager.
 
Originally from Easley, S.C., Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in middle grades education and history and is a graduate of WCU’s Call Me MiSTER program.
