A football student-athlete alum from William & Mary, Arman Jones joined Western Carolina Athletics in the summer of 2022 as an Assistant Director for Academic Support where he primarily worked with Catamount football. In the summer of 2023, Jones moved into the Athletics Academic Advisor role for the Catamounts.
Jones came to Cullowhee from his alma mater at W&M in Williamsburg, Va., where he served many roles including academic support coach in the Dean of Students while a graduate intern for the Academic Enrichment Programs. He also worked with student campus activities as a graduate assistant within the Student Union and Engagement Department.
Originally from Chesapeake, Va., Jones graduated from William & Mary with a B.A. in History and Africana Studies. He earned his Master of Education in Higher Education Administration in May 2022, having served as the vice president of the Higher Education Student Association (HESA) while enrolled.
Jones played in 43 career games for the Tribe football team from 2016 through 2019, finishing with 209 career tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss including 5.5 sacks and two interceptions. He earned Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll accolades as a senior.
Jones is a member of the Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where he held numerous positions for the chapter including Treasurer for the NPHC executive council. His experience also includes working with the Merrimac Mentors mentorship group and served as the Public Relations Chair for the W&M chapter of the NAACP.
