Western Carolina alum Ben Frederick joined the Catamount Athletics Ticketing and Marketing staff as an intern in August 2023. His role will be to assist with the marketing efforts and ticket office operations on a day-to-day basis.

As an undergraduate, Frederick worked with Catamount Athletics Marketing as a student assistant for nearly three years. He effectively aided the WCU marketing staff with pregame script preparation, in-game promotions, as well as social media marketing for Catamount Athletics. While a student, he also worked part-time at the High Hampton Resort in Cashiers, N.C., as a golf operations and course assistant.

Frederick’s experience in athletics includes working as a game day organizer with the North Carolina Courage, a professional women’s soccer team in Cary, N.C., and as a sport manager at the USA Baseball Complex also in Cary. He also gained valuable game day experience as a district supervisor assistant with Rhino Sports in adding stadium services to home events in Cullowhee.

Frederick was a double-major at WCU earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in May 2023.
