Braxton Zeigler joined the Western Carolina Sports Medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in February 2020. He came to Cullowhee after working the previous two years as a graduate assistantship at fellow Southern Conference member Mercer.
While on staff at Mercer, Zeigler worked primarily with the indoor and beach volleyball programs while also working with the women’s track & field team. He also assisted in the athletic training management of both men’s and women’s basketball.
A native of Macon, Ga., Zeigler is a 2019 graduate of Valdosta State in Valdosta, Ga., where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree while working with the Athletic Training program.
