Cody Yale joined the Catamount Sports Medicine staff in the summer of 2026 as the Associate Head Athletic Trainer. At WCU, he will primarily work with the Catamount football team. Yale came to Cullowhee after having served two years in a similar role at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, working with football and men’s golf.

During his undergraduate career, Yale served as a student athletic trainer at both Freedom and Easton Area High Schools. He received his start with collegiate football working as a student athletic trainer at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., with the NCAA FCS program. Yale’s collegiate experience also includes time working with the NCAA Division III Wilkes University men’s and women’s ice hockey teams, as well as baseball, softball, and women’s basketball programs.

Yale is a 2024 graduate of East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, with a degree in athletic training. He earned his Master of Sports Nutrition from Lamar University in the Spring of 2026.
