Assistant coach Erin Leonard joins the Catamounts for the 2012 season. Leonard is a Knoxville, Tenn., native who graduated from Auburn University in 2008 with a degree in political science and criminology magna cum laude, with a 3.79 GPA.

Leonard is a third-year graduate student at WCU, working towards an M.A.T in health and physical education. Leonard competed with the Auburn Cross Country team while also being active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving on the leadership team.

Leonard began her coaching career with the Knoxville Track Club and also served as an assistant track & field coach at Lake Highland Preparatory in Orlando, Fla.
