Western Carolina University

Joshua Ragsdale joins the Western Carolina Athletic Media Relations Staff as a Director of Media Relations. Ragsdale joins the Catamounts after a year and a half as a Communications Assistant at USC Upstate, where he served as the primary contact for men’s soccer and both track and field programs. 

During his time at Upstate, Ragsdale provided coverage for the first NCAA Second Team All-American and Big South Field Athlete of the Year in the track and field team’s history in addition to coordinating media efforts as the host school for the NCAA 2023 Southeast Cross Country Regionals.  

Ragsdale received a bachelor’s degree in News Media and a minor in History from the University of Alabama after graduating with honors in December of 2021. He received his master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Florida in December of 2023.
