Kaleb Ambrose joined the Catamount Athletics External Operations staff in the summer of 2025 as the Director of Corporate Sponsorships, transitioning from WCU's Academic Support staff as a graduate assistant into the full-time role at his alma mater. A Catamount track & field student-athlete alumnus, spent two years as a graduate assistant with the academic support team, while also aiding WCU game day operations.

Ambrose will be responsible for managing a corporate sponsorship portfolio for partners with Catamount Athletics, while also broadening the sponsorship reach of the department across western North Carolina.

Originally from Douglasville, Ga., Ambrose competed in sprints including hurdles and the multi-events as a track athlete at WCU. Ambrose earned 16 top-five and 27 top-10 finishes in his career in six different events and finished in third place at the 110-meter hurdles at the 2022 SoCon Outdoor Championships.
 
Before joining the Catamount family, Ambrose competed at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kan. He earned USTFCCCA All-American honors in the Heptathlon in 2020 with a fifth-place finish and Decathlon in 2019 after finishing in seventh place at the NJCAA national championships and was a member of a squad that won Region VI titles in both indoor and outdoor track.

Ambrose earned his Bachelor of Communication in Communication from Western Carolina in May 2023, and received his Masters in Higher Education Student Affairs from WCU in May 2025.
