Western Carolina University

Libby Lacca joined the Western Carolina Sports Medicine team in July 2024 as an athletic training intern. She was elevated to a full-time role with the department in May 2026. Lacca has worked with the Catamount football and softball programs during her time at WCU.
 
Originally from Naperville, Ill., Lacca is a 2023 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in athletic training. Before coming to Cullowhee, Lacca served as an athletic training fellow, working with the Crimson Tide swimming and diving team at Alabama.
