Michael Mazarky is entering his third season with the Catamounts, where his primary focus is working with the WCU Goalkeepers. He has been in public safety for over 25 years. Most recently, he was the Emergency Management Director for Rabun County, Georgia. 

Mazarky has been involved in soccer since a young age and has played and coached teams from high school to college. "It has been one of my greatest honors to coach at WCU with such a talented and dedicated team". Stated Mazarky

He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia, and graduated in 1999. He also holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, and Administration from the University of Phoenix, which he earned in 2008. 

At Western, he teaches as an instructor in the Emergency and Disaster Management and Criminal Justice program. 

Living in Georgia, Mazarky is married and has two children.
