Patrick Mullaney arrived on the Western Carolina campus in August of 2021 taking on the role of Assistant Director of Video Operations in the athletics department. He was promoted to the Director of Video Operations position in January 2024.
Before coming to Cullowhee, Mullaney was the video production coordinator intern at Wofford College for the 2020-2021 academic year co-producing approximately 62 ESPN+ broadcasts throughout the year as well as video board content. While with the Terriers, he created highlight packages, recruiting videos and coaches shows for various teams. He also produced creative video board content.
Mullaney spent two seasons at Appalachian State prior to Wofford. He worked for AppVision as a member Appalachian State’s athletic video staff and with AppTV as a member of their creative services team. While working for Appalachian State, he was a member of the student video crew who was a finalist for the College Sports Media Award for the production of the 2019 Women's Basketball Invitational.
Mullaney graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electronic media and broadcasting with a minor in graphic arts and imaging tech in 2019. He received his associate of arts degree in 2017 at Wake Tech Community College.
