Rory Jimerson became the Director of Athletic facilities for Western Carolina Athletics in the summer of 2018 being promoted from the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities.
Jimerson manages operations for 16 NCAA Division I sports including pregame set-up, postgame breakdown, greeting visiting teams and officials, scheduling use of facilities. He also supervises capital projects and the facilities staff.
He is no stranger to Western Carolina as prior to taking on the assistant director position, Jimerson spent the 2016 fall season as an external affairs intern. As an intern, Jimerson supported all aspects of marking and promotion for the Catamounts.
From June to August of 2016, Jimerson as the assistant coordinator for the Seneca Nation Vision 2020 program in Irving, N.Y. He managed 33 interns ranging from freshmen in high school to seniors in college. He organized community service projects, coordinated education, and staff development programming and presented career development topics.
Jimerson is currently pursuing a Master of Sport Management at Western Carolina after earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Kinesiology from State University of New York.
