Western Carolina University

Tyler Spain joined the Western Carolina Sports Medicine staff in 2018 as an athletic training intern. He was promoted to the title of Assistant Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2021 and elevated to the position of Associate Head Athletic Trainer in June 2024. Spain works primarily with the Catamount baseball team, while also working with men's golf teams and assisting with football.

Spain graduated with a bachelor's of science in athletic training from Kent State University. While at Kent State, Spain worked with baseball, softball, and volleyball. 

Spain is currently pursuing his master's degree in sport management at Western Carolina University.
