Orlando, Fla. - Western Carolina women's volleyball fell to Central Florida 1-3 in the UCF Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon.

WCU started the match strong with a hard fought 16-14 game one victory, however could not hold on and lost a dissapointing 6-15, 10-15 and 12-15.

Western was led by junior Christy Attebery with 28 kills, she also recorded the double-double with 14 digs. Junior Bri Milan-Williams played all four games recording 49 assists and leading the way defensively with 17 digs. Freshman Pamela Stein was the only other Catamount to record a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs.

The Lady Cats shined offensively in games one and three recording 22 and 19 kills respectively.

The team will return home to open the season at home Friday, September 15th against conference opponent UNC Greensboro. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
