Three Lady Catamounts tallied double figures in kills to lead Western Carolina over Wofford in a hard-fought three games Thursday night in the Benjamin Johnson Arena in Spartanburg, SC.
Western Carolina won by scores of 15-10, 17-15, and 16-14.
Christy Attebery came up big for Western Carolina (5-9, 3-2) in all three games. She finished with 17 kills and 22 digs to go along with three aces. Sara Komosinki tallied 17 kills, nine digs, and two total blocks, while Pamela Stein added 15 kills and eight digs. Bri Milan-Williams recorded 45 assists and eight kills in the win.
Wofford (2-13, 1-7) could not pull through for the win. Currie Gossett had 15 kills with only one error and four total blocks. Janna Webb added 16 kills and eight digs.
The Lady Terriers received solid defensive help from Jessica Johnson and Rebecca Paulson. The two tallied 16 and 14 digs, respectively. Cristy Carter added nine kills and 15 digs in the loss.
Wofford hosts Chattanooga Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., while Western Carolina hosts Furman Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
