Final Stats
Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina women's volleyball team defeated Winthrop, 3-1, Saturday afternoon in the Ramsey Center.
The Catamounts took game one 30-14. Winthrop fought back in game two to win 30-25. WCU took control of the match winning games three and four 30-19 and 30-28, respectively.
Three Catamounts recorded double digit kills, Christy Attebery with 21, Pamela Stein with 13 and Stefanie Peters with 10. Attebery had the teams only double-double with 16 digs. Bri Milan-Williams tallied 51 assists while Tricia Eble led the team with four block assists.
Winthrop was led by Erin Lehman with 15 kills and 16 digs. Jennifer Pritchard add 12 kills and Ashlea Thomas 11 kills.
Western Carolina improves to a 12-7 record while Winthrop falls to 12-9. Western will travel to East Tennessee State, Monday, October 15. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
