The Seminoles took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on just one hit. McCaleb, Scott Toole and Mike Futrell walked to load the bases for Brown's three-run double.

FSU scored two more in the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Brown and a Futrell run on a throwing error.

In the bottom of the fifth, Scott Toole knocked in a pair of runs with a triple down the right field line to push the lead to 8-0.

The Catamounts scored their only runs of the game in the eighth when Clint Ramsey knocked in Chris Davis with a double. Two batters later, Todd Buchanan singled to center off reliever Jason Newlin to drive in Ramsey and Rod Goldston.

Brown had a career-high four RBI and was one of five Seminoles two pick up two hits on the afternoon (Richie, McCaleb, Zech, & Toole).
