Final Stats

Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina volleyball team shot out Savannah State in three straight games Saturday afternoon, 30-7, 30-15, 30-24. Freshman Heather Koontz led the Cats with 14 kills and 26 attacks with only two errors for .462 hitting percentage.

Western tallied 44 digs in the match to only 25 for the Tigers. The Cats also had 48 kills while Savannah State posted just 11.

WCU returns to action against Tennessee State at 5 pm Saturday in the Ramsey Center to close out tournament play.
