CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Western Carolina volleyball (3-13, 1-2 SoCon) fell 3-0 (19-25, 20-25, 16-25) to Chattanooga (8-10, 3-1 SoCon) Saturday. It is the first time this season a Southern Conference opponent has shutout the Catamounts.

Junior middle blocker Amanda Kerr led the club with 10 kills extending her streak to four straight games with double figure kills. It is also her third double-double of the season as she also had 11 digs.

Fellow junior Liz Rondone had 20 digs in the match and now needs just 58 digs to break the school record for digs in a career. Freshman Carrie Minogue added eight kills in the match on just one error for .269 attack percentage.

Western Carolina returns to action Sunday traveling to Birmingham, Alabama to take on new Southern Conference member Samford. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
