ELON, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball fell to Elon 3-0 Saturday in Southern Conference action. The Catamounts drop to 3-14 and 0-3 in the SoCon while Elon improves to 15-2 and 3-1 in the SoCon.

Senior libero Liz Rondone logged in one of her best matches of the season with a match-best 22 digs against the Phoenix. Sophomore Brittany Lysik also had double digit digs, with 10, but the offensive output of the Catamounts was anemic as the club committed 25 errors.

"Liz Rondone had probably the best defensive match of this season giving us numerous second chance opportunities" said Head Coach Manuel Concepcion. "However, our offense was not there for us today. The biggest difference between Elon and us was the points earned; unforced errors kept us out of our system."

Western Carolina will play at UNC Greensboro on Sunday. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
