GREENVILLE, S.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis dropped its first Southern Conference match of the season falling to Furman 7-0 Thursday at the Mickel Tennis Center.
TURNING POINT:
The Paladins swept the doubles and went on to sweep in singles to secure the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Lauren McCall had the closest match at No. 3 singles dropping the first set 6-4 before dropping the second 6-0.
The Catamounts took at least one set in each of the six singles matches.
NOTES:
Jacy Smith's loss at No. 2 singles halted a three-match winning streak. She is now 4-3 on the season.
UPCOMING:
Western Carolina will host its delayed home opener on Saturday welcoming Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m. at the Catamount Athletic Complex.
