COOKEVILLE, TENN. – Western Carolina was in a battle at Tennessee Tech, Wednesday, but couldn't overcome the three-point shot of the Golden Eagles who drained 12 three-pointers in the Catamounts' 67-63 loss in the Eblen Center.

Catamount Redshirt junior Kyla Allison drained a three-pointer, with seven seconds left in the game to cut the Tennessee Tech lead to two, 65-63, but the Golden Eagles hit a pair of free throws after being fouled to ice the game.

Turning Point:
It was a back and forth game, as both teams enjoyed scoring runs, but Tennessee Tech pulled ahead thanks to the long ball – hitting 12 three-pointers.

Trailing by one, 42-41, at the end of the third quarter, Western Carolina's three-plus minute scoring drought in the fourth quarter coupled with Tennessee Tech going 13-for-5 from the free-throw line including 6-of-6 in the final two minutes of the game.
