News & Notes
  • LaPlant's 68 three-pointers in a season is a new program record snapping a mark that had stood since the 2002-03 season and was a tie between Yoneko Allen (202-03) and Amy Baker (1995-96). LaPlant has 68 three-pointers in 25 games – the quickest in program history to reach this mark.
  • Smalls has 251 rebounds on the season moving her into 10th place in the Western Carolina record books for most rebounds in a season. She has the most rebounds by a Catamount women's basketball player since the 2007-08 season when former WCU standout Chevon Keith had 294.
  • For her career, LaPlant has 119 three-pointers ranking eighth in the WCU record books. She needs three three-pointers to move into seventh place.
  • For the season, Western Carolina has drained 175 three-pointers as a team. This mark ranks this Catamounts squad second in the record books for most three-pointers by a team in a season. The team is now chasing the No. 1 spot held by the 2013-14 squad who drained 189 treys in the season.
