Women's Tennis Travels to South Carolina State Sunday

Catamounts looking for first win of the season

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis hits the road Sunday traveling to South Carolina State for a 2 p.m. match at Hardeep Judge Tennis Center.

Both teams are seeking their first win of the season as Western Carolina and South Carolina State are each 0-4 on the season. The Catamounts are still battling injury as WCU is missing a two of their players and have had to forfeit a singles match in each of their four previous contests.

Senior Jordan Strickland leads the team with a pair of singles victories both at No. 2. Strickland paired up with sophomore Jacy Smith against Clemson to earn the Catamounts' first doubles win of the season.
