Tennis Faces ETSU and Chattanooga This Weekend

Looking for first win of season

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis will take a swing through the state of Tennessee for a pair of conference matches traveling to ETSU Thursday and Chattanooga Saturday.

WCU will play ETSU at 2 p.m. Thursday and face Chattanooga at 10 a.m. Sunday.

The Catamounts are continuing to search for its first Southern Conference victory of the season and its firsts win overall. Western Carolina has been handcuffed by injuries over the first seven matches of the season and playing one or two players short causing the team to forfeit a singles or duel match in the contest.

Seniors Lauren McCall and Jordan Strickland lead the Catamounts in singles wins with two. In duel play Strickland and sophomore Jacy Smith are 3-1.
