CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The tandem of senior
Jordan Strickland and sophomore
Jacy Smith combined to knock off Chattanooga's No. 76
th ranked Emma Van Hee and Caroline Gibbens at No. 1 doubles in the 5-2 duel loss at Chattanooga Saturday at the UTC Tennis Center.

The Catamounts competed with a full all six players for the first time this season avoiding a forfeit at either a doubles match or singles.

TURNING POINT:
Chattanooga won the doubles point and went on to pick up victories at No. 1, 3, 4 and six singles.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jacy Smith picked up her second consecutive victory at No. 2 singles. She defeated the Mocs' Bogdana Zaporozhets 6-4, 6-4.
- At the No. 3 singles spot, redshirt sophomore Jordyn King took both sets to the edge but just couldn't reach the tipping point falling 7-5, 7-5.
- Senior Lauren McCall earned the Catamounts second singles win picking up a victory at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-2.
- The victory over a ranked doubles team is the first for Strickland and Smith this season. The duo improves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the SoCon as a doubles team.
