CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina volleyball concludes a four-match homestand this Thursday and Friday as the Catamounts welcome Southern Conference foes Chattanooga and ETSU to Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center. WCU faces Chattanooga at 4 p.m. on Thursday followed by a 5 p.m. Friday match against ETSU.
Admission to both matches is free of charge and fans can attend without capacity restrictions. Under current campus regulations, the proper wearing of face coverings over the nose and mouth is required for all spectators regardless of vaccination status indoors within campus facilities. Parking is available in the Creek Lot across from the Ramsey Center and fans are asked to enter the Ramsey Center through the truck tunnel entrance.

Sydney Carlson distributed a team-best 17 assists in the winning effort.
Chattanooga comes to Cullowhee at 6-15 overall and 2-6 in conference matches following a pair of road losses in straight sets at ETSU and Wofford last week. Second-year freshman libero Paige Gallentine is the two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Week after she averaged 7.17 digs in two matches last week. Gallentine earned the honor on Oct. 11 after she averaged 6.0 digs per set in a pair of matches. As a team, the Mocs are third in the Southern Conference in digs at 16.75 per set.
ETSU enters the week at 8-11 overall and 4-4 in league matches after a 3-0 loss at Wofford last Saturday. The loss marked the first road conference defeat for ETSU this season and was the first time that the Bucs didn't have a player finish with double-digit kills or double-digit digs since the 2017 season.
WCU swept ETSU 3-0 in Johnson City on Sept. 24 to open the conference schedule and claimed a 3-1 win at Chattanooga the following day. The Catamounts have won five straight matches against the Mocs to take a 47-41 lead in the all-time series and have three straight victories over ETSU to lead the all-time series, 46-41.
The Catamounts hit the road next weekend, venturing to Samford on Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. contest the next day at Mercer.
