TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Redshirt junior Nadia Marshall led Western Carolina with 15 points as the Catamounts dropped their road contest at Alabama 77-43 Friday in Coleman Coliseum.  
 
Turning Point:
Alabama outscored the Catamounts 22-9 in the first quarter and led the game in scoring in the ensuing next three quarters. 
 
 Individual Leaders
  • Marshall paced the Catamounts with 15 points going 7-of-14 from the field and ripping down a team-best six rebounds. 
  • Rookie Jacey Justice had her best game in her young career as a Catamount with nine points just missing scoring in double figures. 
  • Alabama's Megan Abrams led all scorers with 17 points. 
 
 Inside the Box Score
  • Western Carolina had 26 turnovers in the game as Alabama turned it into 25 points. 
  • Alabama just edged Western Carolina in the rebound column with 40 to WCU's 30. 
  • Alabama drained 10 three-pointers in the game and Western Carolina had two. 
  • WCU got 34 points from its bench. 
  • The Catamounts had a strong showing in the third quarter as Alabama just edged WCU in scoring 17-15.
  • The Crimson Tide scored 21 of its points from the free-throw line. Western Carolina was 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.

  • Western Carolina was outrebounded in a game for the first time this season.
  • The Catamounts recorded its sixth different lineup against the Crimson Tide.
