LYNCHBURG, Va. – Highlighted by three top-five finishes, the Western Carolina track & field teams wrapped up the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Saturday at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
Senior
Dominiq Delisser earned a third-place finish in the women's 500-meter dash. Delisser's time of 1:19.18 is the fourth-fastest in school history in the event. Junior
Marissa Blakely placed sixth with a time of 1:22.03.

Kate Mattison ran a person-best 10:07.58 to finish in seventh place in the women's 3,000-meter run. Mattison's time is the fourth-fastest in program history. In the women's 1,000-meter run, junior
Jamie Blaylock finished in sixth with a time of 3:15.98 followed by freshman
Sydney Runyan in seventh at 3:18.58.
Freshman
Omare McBride placed sixth in the women's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 11.88 meters (38'11.75").
On the men's side, sophomore
Michael Harris finished in third place in the men's 500-meter run with a personal-best time of 1:07.60. Sophomore
Zae Smith finished fifth (1:08.50) followed by freshman
Kevin Haley, Jr. in sixth (1:09.06).
Senior
Jay Stanley earned his second top-five finish of the meet with a fourth-place result in the men's shot put. Stanley's best throw of the day measured 14.56 meters (47'9.25"). Junior
Adam Hart finished in sixth place in the event thanks to his throw of 13.95 meters (45'9.25"). Classmate
Ryan Eldridge was seventh with a top throw of 13.38 meters (43'10.75").

Brandon Harvey finished in seventh place in the men's high jump after he cleared a height of 1.95 meters (6'4.75"). Senior
Shon Pratcher finished in sixth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 13.37 meters (43'10.5") with sophomore
Tyler Rodriguez following in seventh at 12.76 meters (41'10.5").
The Catamounts are off next weekend and turn their attention to the Southern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships scheduled for Feb. 27-28 at VMI's Corps Physical Training Center.
