CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina volleyball hosted Presbyterian College on Friday afternoon in a predetermined three-set exhibition match held inside the Ramsey Center Auxiliary Gym.
The match – WCU's lone tune-up before the regular-season opener – saw the Catamounts use a variety of lineups as players rotated in and out throughout each of the three sets.
"It was great to host an exhibition match to kick off the season," said WCU head coach
Karen Glover. "I saw some good things out of our team and some things we need to work on. We're looking forward to getting back to practice to prepare for our opening weekend at Davidson."
WCU kicks off the 2021 season at the Wildcat Classic in Davidson, N.C. on Aug. 27-28. The Catamounts face mountain rival UNC Asheville at 4 p.m. on Aug. 27 to open the season before facing NC Central at 10 a.m. and Davidson at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28. The match between former league foes WCU and Davidson will be streamed on ESPN+ with coverage through live stats available for all three matches.
