CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Western Carolina men's golf team closes out the fall portion of its schedule this weekend as the Catamounts head to Greenville, S.C. for the Furman Intercollegiate on Saturday and Sunday. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the par-71 7,005-yard Furman University Golf Course.
In addition to the Catamounts and tournament host Furman, Campbell, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, High Point, James Madison, Richmond, Samford, USC Aiken, Virginia Tech, and William and Mary make up the 15-team field.
The opening round of the tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Round two will follow immediately upon completion of round one. The final round is scheduled to begin at 8:20 a.m. Sunday. For the opening round, WCU is paired with players from William and Mary as well as USC Aiken and will tee off between holes 13 and 16.
The Catamounts will field a lineup of Magnus Pederson,
Adam Hooker,
Pablo Hernandez,
Louis Theys, and
Ryan Thomas. Additionally,
Josh Lendach is slated to compete as an individual.
At the Wolfpack Intercollegiate last weekend, the Catamounts earned a ninth-place finish in the team standings with Pederson pacing the team with a 16
th place finish in the individual standings.

WCU begins the spring portion of its season at the Border Olympics University Golf Tournament in Laredo, Texas on Feb. 13-14.
