Catamounts Fall on the Road at No. 16 LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – Western Carolina women's basketball fell on the road 107-34 to No. 16 LSU Sunday at the Pete Maravich Center. 
 
Turning Point:
LSU held the Catamounts to 19 first-half points and amassed 59 in the first 20 minutes of the game. The Tigers scored 23 or more points in all four quarters including 35 in the first 10 minutes of the contest. 
 
 Individual Leaders
  • Kehinde Obasuyi led the Catamounts with 10 points.
  • Endia Holiday had two blocks in the contest. 
  • Angel Reese had a double-double for the Tigers with 17 points and 15 rebounds.
  Inside the Box Score
  • Both teams connected on five three-pointers in the game.
  • LSU ripped down 60 rebounds including 50 on the defensive end.
  • The Tigers went to the free throw line 41 times hitting 30.
  • Western Carolina was held to 14.8 percent shooting from the field.
  • The Catamounts scored its most points in a quarter in the fourth with 12.
  • LSU only turned the ball over seven times.
  • WCU gave up the ball 20 times turning it into 31 Tiger points.

  • Junior Ewa Kielar got her first start as a Catamount at LSU.
