Erin Stack Scores Career-High in Loss at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. – Freshman Erin Stack came off the bench to score a career-high 11 points as Western Carolina women's basketball fell at Clemson 81-42 Saturday in Littlejohn Coliseum. 
 
Turning Point:
Clemson scored 48 first-half points and Western Carolina scored 21. At the first quarter media timeout, it was 10-4 but the Tigers went on a 14-2 run to close out the first 10 minutes and never looked back. 
 
 Individual Leaders
  • Stack led WCU with 11 points and connected on a career-best three field goals. 
  • Junior Joi Reid ripped down a team-best eight rebounds. 
  • Daisha Bradford paced Clemson with 22 points.
  • Amari Robinson had a double-double for Clemson with 16 points and 11 rebounds. 
  Inside the Box Score
  • Western Carolina had 19 turnovers in the game and Clemson turned them into 31 points. 
  • The Catamounts had its best scoring output in the game in the second quarter with 15 points.
  • After Clemson scored 48 first-half points, Western Carolina's defense held the Tigers to 33 in the second.
  • Clemson just edged Western Carolina with 36 to the Catamounts' 32.
  • The Tigers connected on eight three-pointers while WCU hit five from long range. 
  • Clemson ended the game shooting 50.8 percent from the field. The Catamounts ended the game by shooting 29.4 percent.

  • Stack had a career day at Clemson. She scored a career-high 11, connected on a career-best three field goals, and had her best day in three points made (2), free throws made (11) and minutes played (19).
  • Stack saw action on the court for the first time since Nov. 18, 2022, when she played 10 minutes at USC Upstate.
  • Clemson is now 9-1 against Western Carolina.
  • Kyla Allison had her two-game streak of scoring in double figures halted with nine points against Clemson. 
  • Jacey Justice tied her career-high with two made three-pointers.
  • Western Carolina is now 1-5 on the road.
