Catamounts Defeat Campbell in Dramatic Fashion

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Graduate student Kyla Allison scored a season-high 17 points and Mya Love iced the game with a pair of free throws as the Catamounts downed Campbell 49-46 Tuesday on Ingles Court in the Ramsey Center.

Turning Point:
Love broke a 45-all tie by scoring the final four points of the game, including connecting on two free throws with 21 seconds remaining, for the Catamounts. WCU's defense held the Camels to one point in the final two-plus minutes of the game as Campbell was 1-of-6 from the free throw line, and 0-for-3 from the field, in that final stretch.

Individual Leaders

Allison scored a season-high 17 points connecting on a season-high three three-pointers.
Junior Audrey Meyers added a career-high 11 points adding five rebounds, a block, and a steal.
Ewa Kielar ripped down a career-high eight rebounds.
Endia Holliday came off the bench to add eight points.
Audrey Fuller led Campbell with 15 points while Christabal Ezumah had five blocks.

Inside the Box Score

It was Meyer's steal and basket that tied the game at 45 with 5:18 remaining in the game.
Western Carolina outscored Campbell 12-7 in the fourth quarter after each team scored 16 points in the third.
Western Carolina was 5-of-8 from the free throw line while the Camels struggled to hit just five in 17 trips.
